New Bistro Baby!
We are thrilled to announce the birth of our new baby boy! Ethan James Schuenemann was born at home on Friday, January 29th. He is absolutely adorable and healthy. Mama and Papi Schuenemann are recovering quickly and taking great joy in getting to know their new son. Thanks to everyone for your good wishes, kind gifts, and wonderful support. We are proud to raise our little munchkin in this welcoming community!

"Hi everyone, my name is Ethan.     Luv you guys....wahooo".

Open Again with Temporary Changes
Every year the Alder Wood Bistro closes for the month of January for cleaning and vacation. The bistro reopened in early February for dinner service same hours as before, Tuesday through Saturday from 5-9 P.M. However, lunch service is temporarily suspended.

Saint Patrick's Day
Even if you're not Irish celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Chef Gabriel's famous house-cured Clark Farm grass-fed corned beef with organic horseradish sauce. Other festive treats such as chocolate stout pudding are on the menu. Serving St. Patty's specials all week.

Brewery? In Sequim?!
Local brew master Tom Martin has waded through mountains of paperwork to get his micro brew operation up and running. Now he can do what he loves - brew great beer! Tom even grows his own hops on site. Alder Wood Bistro is welcoming Fathom & League Hop Yard Brewery to Sequim by featuring Tom's delicious brew as fast as he can make it! Look for fresh and truely local brew on tap at the bistro. Check out Fathom's web site for the full scoop: www.fathomandleaguebrewery.com.

LOCAL Beef
Living on the peninsula just got better! Now, we have access to local grass-fed, no hormone or antibiotic beef from the Clark Family Farm. The Bistro is excited to have this new source of quality local meat. The Clark Farm is located in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley and has been around for 158 years. Last month, Tom and Holly Clark got all the necessary permits to sell their beef retail. Chef Gabriel plans to use it for the ever popular meatloaf entree as well as a variety of different cuts for the Specials menu.

What's Coming...
Be on the look out for resident Blackmouth King Salmon, local grass-fed beef and super fresh cold water shellfish and rock fish from Preston of Wild West Co. on our nightly Specials menu. Also, our supply of local Blue Oyster mushrooms has increased. You have got to try them on a pizza or the naughty but delicious fried crispy oyster mushroom or even smoked oyster mushroom soup....the ideas never cease!
